Why gentle care matters
RealDollHub silicone is chosen to read naturally under indoor light—but it is not indestructible. Steady, boring habits (mild cleaners, full dry-down, safe storage) prevent 90% of avoidable wear. For material trade-offs, see our TPE vs silicone guide; this page focuses on daily ownership.

Bathing and surface cleaning
Short, lukewarm sessions are enough. Use a mild, pH-balanced body wash and soft pressure—no aggressive acids, alkalis, or solvents that attack coatings. Rinse thoroughly so residue does not dry into the surface texture.

Drying—especially internal moisture
Trapped moisture drives odor and mold risk. After cleaning, towel the exterior, then allow full internal dry-down using the method recommended for your SKU. Many shipments include a moisture-absorbing drying rod or similar accessory—insert and leave as directed until the cavity reads dry, not “almost dry.”

Skin finishing after dry-down
Once the body is fully dry, a thin layer of finishing powder (talc-free products your manufacturer approves) restores a silky hand-feel and helps dust slide off instead of sticking. Reapply when the surface starts to feel tacky again.

Standing and long-term posing
Even with reinforced standing options, gravity is constant. Do not leave a full doll free-standing for extended stretches (for example beyond a couple of hours)—silicone at the feet can compress, and skeleton fatigue adds up. When idle, lay flat on a soft, colorfast towel or use a stable seated pose that does not punch one point load.

Stains, fabrics, and sharp contact
Silicone can pick up dye from unwashed dark denim, ink-heavy prints, and cheap color-bleeding fabrics—stains are often permanent once set. Keep blades, long nails, zipper teeth, and pet claws away from the skin film; punctures are difficult to repair invisibly.

Weekly and monthly rhythm
Weekly: quick visual pass on high-contact zones, joints, and wig lines; confirm storage pose has not creased one spot for days. Monthly: deeper joint check, powder refresh if needed, and reorganize accessories so nothing presses the body in storage.
